Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements. The service is not intended for minors under any circumstances.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information, keep it current, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

You may upload only photographs of yourself, or photographs you have explicit permission from the depicted person to use. You must not:

• •Upload photographs of minors, under any pretext.
• •Upload photographs of any person without their informed consent.
• •Upload sexual, nude, violent, or otherwise unlawful imagery.
• •Use the service to harass, defame, deceive, or impersonate any person.
• •Present generated images as real photographs, real patient results, or genuine medical documentation.
• •Use generated images in advertising or marketing that implies they are real surgical outcomes.
• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent access controls or credit limits of the service.
• •Resell or redistribute access to the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund of credits consumed.

• •One credit generates one preview. Refinements and each angle of a multi-angle generation each consume one credit.
• •One-time purchases. Credit packs are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
• •No expiry. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active.
• •Non-transferable. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
• •Prices. Displayed prices are tax-inclusive. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card details.
• •Failed generations. Credits consumed by a generation that fails on our side are returned to your balance automatically.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

• •Your uploads stay yours. You retain all rights in the photographs you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process them solely to operate the service for you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
• •Your generated previews. You may use the previews we generate for you for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to the acceptable use rules above.
• •Our platform. The website, software, procedure library, prompts, design and branding remain our property. Nothing here transfers ownership of them to you.
• •No model training. We do not use your photographs or generated images to train AI models.

BeforeAndAfter.io provides AI-generated visualisations for informational and entertainment purposes only. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• •Illustrative only. All generated images are artistic simulations produced by an AI model. They do not depict real surgical outcomes and should not be interpreted as photographs of actual results.
• •Not medical advice. Nothing shown or written on this site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or a doctor-patient relationship.
• •Results vary. Real cosmetic and surgical outcomes depend on individual anatomy, skin quality, healing biology, surgical technique, and the specific surgeon performing the procedure. No two results are identical.
• •No guarantee. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any surgical or non-surgical procedure will produce a result resembling the AI-generated preview.
• •Consult a professional. Always consult a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon or licensed medical professional before making any aesthetic, cosmetic, or surgical decision.
• •Not for clinical use. These previews must not be used for surgical planning, patient consent, marketing of results, or any clinical purpose.

AI image generation is probabilistic. Output may be inaccurate, anatomically implausible, inconsistent between runs, or may fail entirely. Safety filters applied by our AI provider may refuse certain images or procedures. We do not guarantee that any particular generation will succeed or match your expectations.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where a change materially reduces the value of credits you have already purchased, we will offer a refund of the unused balance.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; unused credits are handled in accordance with the Refund Policy unless the termination follows a breach by you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeforeAndAfter.io and its operators are not liable for any decisions made, procedures undertaken, or outcomes experienced based on content generated by or displayed on this service, nor for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and nothing limits mandatory consumer rights.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and costs arising from your uploads, your use of generated images, or your breach of these terms — including claims by any person depicted in a photograph you uploaded.

Our handling of personal data, including your photographs, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
